The Gig in Groenlo
Well, the trip to Groenlo started out a little crazy. MapQuest printed out a route that was still under construction. Needless to say - we were lost BIG TIME. A really nice Dutch fellow ended up escorting us almost all the way to Groenlo and we managed to get there just about in time.
At the hotel we ran into the creators of the Rubettes' Dutch website. We had some drinks and lots to talk about until the guys came downstairs from their rooms. After shooting the breeze for while, we left for the "City Lido". I should say that this venue located in the heart of Groenlo is really need and tasteful!
We only spent a short time backstage since the event's organizer didn't want us there. No offense taken ... the party inside the concert hall was great!
