The Gig in Schillingsfürst

On July 10, 2004, the town of Schillingsfürst hosted an open-air festival. Mind you, we actually did not lose our way driving there:-) We got to our hotel in the afternoon, only to be told that they were oversold. The receptionist at the Hotel Adler was kind enough to get us a room at a nearby motel and off we went.

Until we were checked in, all situated and ready for the show, enough time had passed that we ended up being late after all - and we missed the performance of the Lords:-( When we arrived Boney M. was on stage, taking off like fire-crackers to entertain a relatively small audience. Good to see though that Boney M had pulled fans on stage (a man and several local girls) to dance with them. Liz gave a couple of encores.

I ran into Alan right before their performance. He said it was pretty cold in good old Germany (well, when the man is right, he's right!). Then it was their turn to hit the stage and so they did - warming up everybody with their much-enjoyed Taiko Drum performance. Unfortunately, their performance was cut short because of some person disrupting the show - very regrettable!!
Suzie Quatro ended the show with her performance. We didn't stick around since we really wanted to talk with the guys - besides, it was a LOT warmer inside the tent!
Last but not least, I really like to thank the security staffers for being so nice to keep an eye on our "little man" throughout the event.
